**Short answer:** yes. TradingView's Basic plan is free, with no time limit (as of October 2026; check TradingView's pricing page), and includes full charts, drawing tools, a few alerts and a paper trading account. It has limits: ads, two indicators per chart, one chart per tab, delayed futures data and no intraday Bar Replay. For a beginner learning on paper, it's enough.

## What the free plan includes

- Full charts in your browser for stocks, futures, forex and crypto
- Drawing tools: lines, levels, trend lines
- Up to 2 indicators per chart
- A small number of price alerts (3 at the time of writing)
- Paper trading: a free simulated account
- Bar Replay on daily charts and up

## The limits that matter

- **Delayed futures data.** CME futures are about 10 minutes late on the free plan. See [why TradingView futures data is delayed](https://www.daytraderincome.com/tradingview-futures-data/).
- **No intraday replay.** Replaying a 5-minute chart needs a paid plan. See [TradingView Bar Replay](https://www.daytraderincome.com/tradingview-bar-replay/).
- **One chart per tab** and **two indicators**. Most beginners don't need more.
- **Ads.**

## Do you need to pay?

Not to start. Learn the platform, practice on paper and run [the Paper Route](https://www.daytraderincome.com/paper-route/) on the free plan. Pay when the free plan is actually stopping you, usually for real-time futures data or intraday replay.
